Energy class in Netherlands (Energielabel)
Official certificate: Energielabel
Netherlands uses the Energielabel certificate to classify the energy performance of buildings.
The scale is absolute: thresholds are expressed in kWh/m²·yr.
Official Energielabel scale
| Class | Max energy (kWh/m²·yr) |
|---|---|
| A++++ | ≤ 0 |
| A+++ | ≤ 50 |
| A++ | ≤ 75 |
| A+ | ≤ 105 |
| A | ≤ 160 |
| B | ≤ 190 |
| C | ≤ 250 |
| D | ≤ 290 |
| E | ≤ 335 |
| F | ≤ 380 |
| G | > 380 |
How the estimate works in Netherlands
In Netherlands, the Energielabel class is based on absolute primary energy consumption (kWh/m²·yr). EnergyClass calculates the building's estimated energy need and compares it to official thresholds to assign the class.
